Job Description:
Are you a proven leader in the Nuclear sector with a passion for growing a business?
We are looking for an individual with the experience and vision to lead the growth of our UK Nuclear business.
You will need to have broad experience across many of the engineering sub-disciplines and, ideally, you will have a good knowledge of the emerging trends and technology impacting the Nuclear sector.
A consultancy background is preferred but not essential.
You will be responsible for overall leadership of the growth of the team supported by competent operations and technical leadership, and will have responsibility for the teams strategic direction and work winning.
You will also provide strategic support to the wider Energy business growth and, through being a client focused individual, you will be a senior client liaison for our key Nuclear sector clients.
The role is preferably based in either of our Warrington or Cumbria offices, but we are happy to consider applicants working out of other UK locations.
In the role you will be directly responsible for developing the Nuclear business which is poised for rapid growth with a strong pipeline of major projects.
The Team:
Our Nuclear team provide multi-disciplinary design consultancy services to the nuclear industry, including services to the nuclear new build and decommissioning sectors.
- Nuclear new build sector where we are providing engineering support to the developers of the UK's fleet of new nuclear power stations, through the whole project lifecycle including environmental services.
- Decommissioning sector, which requires the design and construction of a large number of new facilities to enable decommissioning, where AECOM provides support to the entire Nuclear Estate.
The requirements of the role are very flexible and will be adapted to best suit your individual skills and attributes.
However, it will require you to:
- Establish, build and maintain client relationships
- Contribute to leading the growth of the wellestablished and competent team
- Strategic leadership of new business, marketing initiatives and management of large bids
- Provide thought leadership and industry profile
- Win new work from new clients and current key clients
- Embrace AECOM's safety, environmental, quality and project management systems.
Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng Engineering (Hons) or MEng
- Be a Chartered Engineer (or eligible for Chartered status)
- Strong leadership experience
- Experience in client facing position
- The vision, strategy and skills to enable growth
- Understanding of the Nuclear sector
- Previous experience as a consultant would be advantageous
