We looking for an experienced
Maintenance Handy Person to join our team in Edinburgh supporting our hotels in the City.

The Role:

Are you reliable, motivated and hardworking?

Do you have any building/trade experience or enjoy completing DIY projects in your spare time?

If the answer is yes then why not join our hotel maintenance team?


Role Requirements:

You will be required to complete general maintenance and this could be different general maintenance works around the hotels such as:

  • Painting and decorating.
  • Minor joinery repairs.
  • Minor electrical repairs.
  • Minor ground working repairs.
  • Have experience of diagnosing problems with Air conditioning systems.
  • Experience of diagnosing problems with gas and electrical heating systems.
  • Extensive experience of plumbing repairs and diagnosing drainage issues.
  • Minor tiling works experience would be advantageous.
  • Investigation of problems.
  • The ability to identify what the issue is, and then know what is needed to fix it.
  • Be knowledgeable enough to know whether your skills set can fix the issue.

The Person:


  • Must have previous building/trade experience or a basic rounded knowledge of DIY.
  • Good communication skills in order to respond promptly and positively to requests
  • The position will require you to work independently (as well as within a team) so selfmotivation is very important
  • Must have own tools.
  • Driving license is essential for this role as travel to other areas will be required.
  • Be physically fit.
