Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking two dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team at a school in Gateshead.


Role:


  • Position: KS1 & KS2 Teaching Assistant with ASD experience
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:3015:30
  • Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Duration: Immediate start until the end of summer term

Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to children with Education, Health, and Care plans, focusing on primary ASD needs
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and deliver engaging learning activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:


  • Proven experience working with children with ASD and EHCPs
  • Possession of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Creativity and innovation in teaching approaches
