Background
Our client is a world leading Aerospace and Defence company, with several installations and sites throughout the UK. Due to increases in their business operations is now seeking temporary support to increase capability and capacity.

A vacancy for an electrical design engineer has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Filton.

You will join the Test Centre (1VM) and will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Fuel and Landing Gear test benches.

There are a variety of different test benches on site (standalone test benches, integration benches, landing gear zero means) which are typically used for the validation and certification of new avionics and system functions for Fuel and Landing Gear Systems.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team: Test Means Architecture & Integration (1VMIF)


Project Duration
12 Months


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions
  • Demand and forecast control
  • Communicate effectively to internal customers, team colleagues and external suppliers
  • Supply chain prioritisation
  • Challenge Supplier performance where appropriate
  • Lead & Drive Supplier recoveries
  • Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy
  • Specify and use of process automation
  • Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain
  • Order Book Management and maintaining MRP Master Data
  • Coordinate Supplier Working Parties
  • Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or at suppliers) and proactively operate in a procurement community as partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer
  • Own and Optimise Procured Goods Stock.

Skills and Experience Essential

  • Experience in the use and deployment of Digital solutions/tools
  • Experience of transnational working
  • MRP expertise and experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in problem solving.
  • Good team work ethic
  • Negotiation level of English
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility

Working Location
Broughton


Working Hours
Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am - 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)


Security Clearance
BPSS Plus Clearance (applied for when onboarded)
