We are looking to recruit an experienced Marketing and Events Assistant to join our Marketing team, led by the firm's Marketing Partner and based at the firm's Lincoln office, to support the growth and expansion of our firm and to help realise our goal to be a Top 20 UK accountancy practice within 5 to 10 years.
The firm prides itself on its proactive and innovative marketing approach and being at the forefront of professional services marketing.
This new role will be to assist with the firm's development and expansion of its marketing activities in response to changing marketing techniques, opportunities in the market place and the firm's growth in terms of its offices and the geographical area it covers.
This post, along with other new appointments, is part of a commitment to develop the firm's in house marketing skills, expertise and resources, creating a dynamic, innovative and responsive marketing team.
Responsibilities:
Event Management:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events, both inperson and virtual
- Book venues, manage resources and handle logistics for events
- Manage event attendee bookings and communications
- Support internal event engagement and participation
- Provide onsite or virtual support during events as required
- Collaborate with local offices and teams to organise and fulfil event requirements
- Oversee and assist in the firm's engagement in third party organised events
- Capitalise on marketing opportunities for each event, including creating and managing social media posts and placing listings on various business membership websites and directories
- Conduct postevent performance analysis to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement
Sponsorship Coordination:
- Oversee the firm's sponsorship engagement, ensuring it aligns with the firm's objectives and creates value
- Maintain a record of all sponsorships and sponsorshiprelated activities
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, delivering on agreedupon benefits
- Identify and secure new sponsorship opportunities as they arise
Social Media Management:
- Create and manage engaging social media content to promote events, sponsorships and other marketing activities
- Schedule and monitor social media posts, respond to comments and track engagement metrics
- Utilise social media to maximise the reach and impact of events and sponsorship initiatives
General Marketing:
- Provide administrative assistance to the marketing team, such as data entry, scheduling and maintaining marketing calendars
- Contribute creative ideas and strategies to enhance marketing efforts for events and sponsorships
Requirements:
- Prior experience in event management, sponsorship coordination or marketing roles is highly desirable
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with marketing tools and software, including social media platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Location - Lincoln
Although the role can support remote working on occasions, you will be based at the firm's Lincoln office and at times may be required to travel to other office locations and events.
