English Teacher - Southwark - ASAP Start - £130 to £200 a day - Pupil Referral Unit

Would you be able to start immediately after the half term?

If you answered yes to the above, then this English Teacher role is for you

English Teacher

Qualiteach is currently working with a Pupil Referral Unit who is looking for an experienced English Teacher who can start with them on a full-time basis after the half term until the end of July.

They are looking for someone who has previously worked in aSEMH School or Pupil Referral but isn't essential.

You will be responsible for the learning and development of 6-8 students who have been removed from a mainstream school.

They will be following the UK National Curriculum and will be learning English Literatureand Language.

Some will be working towards their GCSEs and others will be working at a lower level than their age group, so adaptions will need to be made.

During your lessons you will have the support from 2 or 3 Teaching Assistants who will be there to helpthe students and mange their behaviour.

The ideal English Teacher for this role must have a minimum of 1 years experience and be able to build a strong rapport with the students and not be phased by challenging behaviour.


Pupil Referral Unit

This Pupil Referral Unit is found in the South London borough of Southwark and caters for students aged between 11-16 years who have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanent basis.

They currently have 50 students who attend and in theirlast Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
