Student Mentor
A scchool in South Bristol are looking to appoint Student Mentors to join their collaborative student support team.

The school pride's itself on not having a generic 'one size fits all' approach, as they provide specific, tailored learning programmes tofit the needs of their students.

You will still have a heavy involvement in the academic support of pupils from years 7 to 11, but the students you support may have Anxiety, Low mood, ADHD or have low attendance/ poor engagement with their learning.


Whilst you may have experience of working in an education setting already, you may have experience in the following instead:

  • Working in the care or mental health sector
  • Support or social worker
  • Youth/ extracurricular activities

Start date: 3rd January 2023

The successful applicant will:

  • Be outgoing and able to work well with others
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Have empathy and understanding of issues that young people face today
  • Engage and inspire pupils
  • Deal with situations calmly and sensitively
  • Impliment interventions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
