Description

The RPS Asset Survey and Inspection team are looking for a
Team Leader to join our Leakage and Project Field Team in
Carmarthen.

You will lead the team in leak detection activities to meet leakage targets as defined by the client, be the point of contact for site staff and also take responsibility for Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management.

This is a permanent, full time (40 hrs pw) position and will cover the South-West Wales area.

What you'll be doing

  • As a Team Leader your main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as a point of contact for site staff
  • ALC and Logging Inspectors
  • Taking responsibility for Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management
  • The analysis and driving of Health & Safety performance
  • Completing quarterly SBWI

  • Completing best observations and highlighting trends
  • Delivering monthly toolbox talks and safety alerts
  • Leading a team of 810 fieldbased staff on a daytoday basis in order to deliver outstanding client care, customer service, technical excellence and project outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance of all teams to approved technical procedures and management of the Company's Integrated Management System
  • Produce clear and up to date status reports from leakage delivery activities
  • Analysis and continuous improvement of leakage team's performance highlighting performance trends and reporting
  • Assisting site staff to locate and promote leakage jobs
  • Mentor and train field staff to maintain continued improvement
  • Tracking and driving the performance of Field staff
  • Formalisation and submission of incident and accident reports
  • Ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Who you are

  • An individual with a strong commitment to Health and Safety
  • A successful track record of leading a team, with a strong management style and the ability to motivate, influence, negotiate and performance manage
  • A flexible approach to working days, nights and overtime
  • A strong Customer Service ethos and track record
  • Experience of meeting strict client and company targets
  • Ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets
  • Clear and fluent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A working knowledge of working within Utilities and Water Distribution is advantageous

Your experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience of success in a similar environment
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar.
  • Full UK driving license.
