- Job Location: Suffolk & Norfolk area
- 40 hours per week Flexibility with hours as occasional weekend shifts will be required.

Job Summary:
- We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Care Home Chauffeur to join our team. As a Care Home Chauffeur, you will play a vital role in providing safe and comfortable transportation services for our residents, ensuring they reach their destinations with utmost care and support. You will contribute to enhancing their overall wellbeing by establishing a friendly and comforting atmosphere during their journeys.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, recreational activities, social events, and other destinations as required.
- Provide assistance with entering and exiting vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour, fostering a warm and supportive environment for the residents.
- Collaborate with the care home staff to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., tissues, hand sanitizer, etc.).
- Provide occasional support to residents during outings, including wheelchair assistance and mobility aid usage.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care home staff to address any concerns or requests.
Criteria / Person Specification:
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a professional driver or chauffeur is preferred.
- Compassionate and patient nature, with the ability to provide excellent customer service to elderly individuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the local area and ability to navigate efficiently using GPS systems.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring residents' safety and comfort.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
- High level of reliability and punctuality.
