An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial and Contracts Officer to join a dynamic and innovative organisation in the field of fire safety engineering.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead commercial activities and contract delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and organisational profitability.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Draft and refine contractual agreements in alignment with organisational objectives and legal requirements.
  • Utilise comprehensive knowledge of contract law and regulations to tailor contracts effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks and maximise profitability.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
  • Assist in policy development and implementation related to contract management and compliance.
  • Monitor contract compliance, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to contract management.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 years of contract negotiation and management experience, preferably in the fire industry sector.
  • Indepth knowledge of UK contract law.
  • Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) with a focus on commercial or contract law.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Desirable: Experience in engineering consultancy or the construction industry, pursuing or completing a master's degree (LLM) in construction law or related field.
