An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial and Contracts Officer to join a dynamic and innovative organisation in the field of fire safety engineering.

- Lead commercial activities and contract delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and organisational profitability.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
- Draft and refine contractual agreements in alignment with organisational objectives and legal requirements.
- Utilise comprehensive knowledge of contract law and regulations to tailor contracts effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks and maximise profitability.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
- Assist in policy development and implementation related to contract management and compliance.
- Monitor contract compliance, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to contract management.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of contract negotiation and management experience, preferably in the fire industry sector.
- Indepth knowledge of UK contract law.
- Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) with a focus on commercial or contract law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow.
- Desirable: Experience in engineering consultancy or the construction industry, pursuing or completing a master's degree (LLM) in construction law or related field.
