**Regional Sales Manager

  • Midlands /Central
  • Express Delivery**
    Salary £60k base plus commission

OTE C:
£110K + Car or Allowance

Our client is a Market Leader in the Distribution Industry

Overall Role Purpose

Manage and develop the team of Sales Managers & Key Account Managers within the Central sales (region) in order to maintain and grow profitable revenue from customers serviced.

Lead and develop the sales force in order to enable them to achieve the set revenuetargets while meeting key customer needs.


Accountabilities:


  • Create Sales Business Plan and objectives for the sales managers territories ensuring that the Sales Business Plan is reenforced at sales territory level (region)
  • Manage and develop the existing customer base through the assigned Key Account Managers in order to retain profitable revenue growth from existing clients
  • Act as senior local escalation point for Customers, Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to ensure customer retention Set/ agree performance expectations with Sales Manager & Key Account Manager
  • Conduct Sales Key Performance Indicators reviews to analyse the business dynamics at Sales Manager & individual Key Account Manager level to evaluate the effectiveness of sales teams.

Process
Manage the cost of sales for the customers allocated to the sales territories.

Manage and monitor business performance of the sales management team according to commercial standards to ensure effective and efficient management of the sales teams.

Set and achieve area and customer key performance indicators and maintain a decision making process to determine and agree operational capability in relation to customer needs and resolve any customer issues.

Adhere to the agreed pricing policies, monitor profitability against targets and ensure a consistent approach to price re-negotiation.
People - Management
Recruitment of sales staff
Ensure that the area sales team is provided with clear direction and performance standards and is staffed, trained and motivated to meet set targets
Support the staff onward performance appraisal process and career development within the company
Skills / Qualifications
Key capabilities
Judgement, tact and motivational ability to achieve the set revenue and profitability targets of the assigned Sales team.

Lead and maintain the motivation of the Sales Managers, Key Account Managers & all other relevant staff driving a relationship business approach whilst driving the introduction of company directives & initiatives.

Appropriate managerial experience in a selling environment managing Sales Managers & other field based resources.

  • Building & Leading a Sales Management Team
  • Strong sales & management background in a consultative selling environment
