Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing Enfield Council at SEN tribunal and mediation hearings
  • Drafting and submitting evidence to the tribunal on behalf of Enfield Council
  • Ensuring that all relevant deadlines are met, and all documentation is accurately completed and submitted
  • Maintaining accurate records of all tribunal activity and outcomes
  • Liaising with other professionals, such as solicitors, barristers, and educational psychologists, as required
  • Keeping uptodate with changes to SEN legislation and guidance, and sharing this knowledge with the team
  • A thorough understanding of SEN legislation and guidance, including the SEN Code of Practice
  • Experience of representing a local authority at SEN tribunals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and work to strict deadlines
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals
  • A commitment to providing an excellent service to parents and young people
