We have an exciting new opportunity supporting The Talent Team to recruit a Administration Assistant to join there expanding team for 6 months.


The Talent Team aims to be a sector-leading professional service dedicated to providing Coventry University Group students with inclusive support for successful graduate employment outcomes, tailored to individual needs and career aspirations, as an integral part of the student journey that will start at enrolment and continue beyond graduation.


Talent Team Administration Assistants will support the provision of the service to ensure that students and employers experience an excellent service.

Talent Team Administrative Associates will be allocated to a Faculty, subsidiary or central team and play a key role in supporting the co-ordination of activity within and across teams to deliver a seamless customer journey and provide support to specialist projects.

Some specific tasks undertaken will vary depending on the team(s) being supported.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Respond to first-line enquiries from students, employers and staff in person or electronically, answering immediate queries where possible and/or passing these to the appropriate department/member of staff if required
  • Provide front-line guidance and support to students with enquiries and use of the online booking service to make appointments with Student Talent and Graduate Talent team staff
  • Organise meetings, produce agendas, take minutes, summarise action points and monitor follow-up
  • Provide administrative support to collect and record data and produce management reports
  • Contribute to and assist in the planning and co-ordinating the promotion of, and registration for, courses and workshops organised by the Talent Team
  • Liaise with internship staff to ensure that health and safety and visa compliance requirements are checked, documentation including contracts and agreements are produced and sent as required and that accurate records are maintained
  • Support the planning, organisation and successful delivery of events

Further information:

  • This post will be a key interface between staff and customers and pivotal to the successful operation of the service to deliver customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • This role is largely desk-based.
  • Internal stakeholder relationships spanning the academic teams, students and colleagues in the Talent Team will be developed and maintained ensuring that all impacted parts of the University are aligned and brought into the delivery of the strategy.
