The Faculty of Health and Social Care at University of Chester is home to a broad range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate professional programmes including Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Art Therapy.

We also provide a range of CPD courses at UG and PG levels and Foundation Degree Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner apprenticeships.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who will be involved in the delivery of our nursing and specialist practice programmes.

The Faculty has four education centres, Warrington Campus; University Centre Shrewsbury; Marris House Birkenhead, and, Wheeler Building, Chester.


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person who has current Adult NMC registration, who holds the Non-Medical Prescriber V300 and either SPQ Community Nursing or Advanced Practice qualification, to be involved in the organisation, delivery and leadership of a range of pre-registration and post graduate health care programmes of study.

This is an opportunity to deliver first class education in a vibrant and committed academic community.

You will have a good first degree and a higher degree in a health-related discipline as well as holding an NMC professional registration.

You must be highly motivated with a proven academic record, together with demonstrable expertise and experience in advanced practice, prescribing or public health is desirable.

The post also involves providing academic and pastoral support to our undergraduate and postgraduate students and contributing to enhancing the wider reputation of our provision.


You should have or be willing to work towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA).

You will have knowledge of current professional and academic requirements of higher education professional programmes and will contribute to the academic and research development of the Faculty
