- To support a triage process following contact from customers who report damp and mould in their home, and if determined to be the first person attending to assess the issues and coordinate an appropriate response.
- Where works are required in the home to undertake an Equality Impact Assessment to ensure support is tailored to the needs of the household.
- To raise works with the appropriate department or escalate for a surveyor to attend where the issues are more complex.
- To work proactively with customers to suggest improvements in their environment such as decluttering areas or ventilating and heating rooms effectively. Where customers have concerns about the cost of heating their home, and this is contributing to the issues of damp and mould, to provide signposting to our inhouse financial inclusion team or external agencies for assistance.
- To work closely with the Housing Patch Managers and Officers where broader issues or support needs are identified in the home.
