Harewood Independent Surveyors is an established surveying practice specialising in Residential Home Surveys and Building Defect Diagnosis.

We are looking for an experienced Damp Surveyor to join our team in providing high-quality defect reports for private clients across the South of England.

We provide bespoke property guidance for Homebuyers, Homeowners, Asset Managers and other professionals involved with property.

The job role is for a Surveyor who can demonstrate strong building pathology skills and a full understanding of dampness, moisture in buildings and timber decay.

We also require a professional who is able to produce detailed, well-written professional reports using our modern software, as well as programmes such as Microsoft Word.

You will be providing Pre-Purchase Damp & Timber Surveys, Damp Investigations and other related building surveying reports for various clients.

You must have a professional construction or surveying qualification such as
AssocRICS, MRICS, FRICS,
CABE, MCIOB. Other qualifications such as
CSTDB will be considered if you are willing to work towards a professional membership, including those stated.
Experience and knowledge of RICS L2 & L3 Home Surveys would be advantageous.
Can demonstrate strong building pathology knowledge.
Can demonstrate a good understanding of traditional building construction.
Understand dampness in buildings.
Understand how to fix dampness without the need for chemical solutions.
Be able to complete detailed quality reports to company standards.
Be proficient with IT.
Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills.
Have good time management skills.
Be friendly and personable to provide clients with clear information and professional property guidance.
Full UK driving licence and vehicle.

This is a home-based role with team catch-up meetings and training via zoom and at our office, based in Andover.

The role is for a surveyor who is able to travel and cover areas from Wiltshire to London, with occasional survey requirements outside of these zones.

Salary - £45-55k per year, depending on experience. Bonus incentives.
