PLANT / HGV FITTER

MTS Suction Systems UK are the UK No.1 manufacturer and supplier of suction excavators into the utility, civils, rail and construction markets.

Due to expansion and increased demand MTS

Suction Systems require a Plant / HGV Fitter to enhance our service offering to an ever
- growing customers base.

Requirements of the Plant Fitter role include:

The successful applicant will be required to undertake preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing, diagnostics, warranty repair and maintenance of customers suction excavators.

Attend equipment breakdowns at the depot and on customer sites and effect repairs to ensure minimum downtime. Required to troubleshoot and fault find any defects on the machines and carry out repairs as necessary.

Ideally you will be apprentice trained in construction, HGV, agricultural or plant maintenance or a time service mechanical fitter and have an understanding of auto-electrics, engines, transmissions and hydraulics.

It is essential to be a team player, demonstrating a can do attitude. Applicants must have excellent organisation and communication skills with a good understanding of health and safety legislation. The ability to work flexible hours including and weekends.

• Experience and knowledge of Heavy Machinery would be an advantage.

Tickets or certificates that would be useful to have:
Health and Safety, CPCS ticket, abrasive wheel, welding, lifting and slinging, HGV,

Apprenticeship in Plant Mechanics / HGV / Agricultural Engineering etc
