Job opportunity


Due to continued success and rapid expansion, we are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join the team at Medway Law.

As 1 of our Conveyancing Assistants, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service to our Conveyancing Fee Earners to assist in running a case load of auction sale files including administration, drafting and organising.

You will be the first point of contact for enquiries providing 1st class customer service to our clients, ensuring all transactions managed from POS through to completion are handled with professionalism and high quality attention to detail


Key responsibilities

  • Progress property transactions through an effective journey from point of sale through to completion.
  • Obtain and check key legal documents and title deeds
  • Carry out and check precontract searches
  • Draft legal documents, including but not limited to contracts and land registry documents
  • Update clients and agents in a timely manner to ensure all files are progressed to completion as quickly as possible
  • Advise clients on technical content of legal documents
  • Ensure all files are compliant

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in Conveyancing would be desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
