Finance Business Partner / Finance Manager

Telford, Shropshire + hybrid working

Up to £65k

I am delighted to be exclusively partnering with a division of a FTSE 250 services business in the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner.

This role will be to support the Business Facing Finance Director and Business Facing team, operating in a ProjectManagement environment.

This is a key role within the business with a focus on increased controls around budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the site operational team.

The role will act as the link between Finance and the contract operational teams. Cost drivers from the production operations need to be properly understood and communicated in the business.

Main Accountabilities:

Production of timely and technically accurate contract/site accounts, budgets, forecasts and strategic plans including variance analysis and presentations for key stakeholders
Business Partner with the operational teams holding them to account with their forecasts and budgets
Support the operational teams with analysis and insight
Providing and managing any contractual financial information
Ensuring the endtoend sales to production planning process is followed and to inform the quarterly revenue forecast and gross margins
Produce monthly management accounts including site commentaries
Provide support to the monthly reviews of new business/projects/pricing
Provide financial support to achieve key performance measurement and efficiency targets
Reconcile operational data to that reflected in the accounts and on other ancillary source data systems
Responsible for the production of the customer facing balance sheet control account reconciliations and rectification actions required to resolve
Responsible for completion contract specific journals
Preparation of quarterly contract review presentations identifying future opportunities and risks
Preparation of shortterm cash forecasts with variance analysis
Preparation of working capital analysis
Production of revenue reconciliation between billed and unbilled revenue for their contract/site
Reconciliation monthly of contract order book
Ensuring the endtoend sales to production planning process is followed and to inform the quarterly revenue forecast and gross margins
Provide contract/site analysis as required

About you:

We are seeking a credible and experienced Finance Professional who is fully qualified and has worked in a finance business partnering role within an engineering or manufacturing business.

First rate communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are required as this role will support a wide range of operational stakeholders on site, in addition to several key Finance contacts both locally and remotely.

An ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review by finance and non-finance managers is key as is the ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved.

Experience within project management and in particular, cost saving projects is a real advantage and an understanding of direct labour utilisation is key.
