Xceptor - Software Subject Matter Expert

  • SALARY: Competitive (dependent on experience and location)

  • HOURS: Full-Time
  • WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
  • About This Opportunity
  • This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven, proactive individual to join our Markets and Lending Delivery team as a Xceptor Software Subject Matter Expert.
  • Using your extensive knowledge of product life cycles in the Markets space, you'll design and build the optimal solutions to automate manually intensive activities within Xceptor.
  • You'll support with the collation of business requirements, solution design, planning, and leading the delivery of the solution into business activities. You'll demonstrate great deployment practices and be responsible for helping to define and build front to back solutions whilst adhering to governance controls.
  • Working within a highly productive team, you'll provide technical and practical solutions to support the automation of post trade activity to increase scalability and efficiency. This will be performed against a backdrop of control improvements, moving detective controls to preventative, and closer to the activity source.
  • Tightknit collaboration and engagement skills are vital as you'll collaborate closely with all business units and you must be comfortable operating in an agile, dynamic environment.

  • What You'll Need
  • This role will best suit a software engineer that wants to make a transition into a business role OR a business SME with a strong technical background. If you're passionate about post trade automation and simplification & meet the below requirements we'd love to hear from youKnowledge of product life cycles
  • Demonstrable experience of developing post trade solutions within Xceptor from inception to deployment
  • Ability to understand and document complex business requirements and create business ready and compatible solutions
  • Experience of using JIRA
  • Excellent understanding of the change process from design to deployment within a post trade environment
  • A good understanding of an Investment Banking control environment
  • And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful
  • Experience of working with Thunderhead and/or Smart DX
  • Excellent track record for delivery to timescales and effective management of risks and issues
  • Strong transformation background with knowledge of both waterfall and agile development practices
  • Strong problemsolving skills using a combination of business and technical knowledge, experience, and judgement to identify available options and clearly set out the way forward
  • Show welldeveloped interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes and tools E.g. Nexus, GitHub, Jenkins and UrbanCode would be of benefit, as we work closely with our technical teams
  • Keeping abreast of key technical developments and innovations within Xceptor and the industry.
