Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

***As a Customer Volume Specialist, you will be a part of an experienced Trading and Pricing team responsible for the purchasing of circa £300 million of gas and power for our more than 40,000 business customers.


You will be responsible for analysing movements in expected consumption of our customers to ensure accurate volume forecasts are available to trade against.

Your role will extend to supporting on the development of new processes and reporting, to ensure the best view is always available to the team.

What We Need from Yü:


Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Develop reporting and controls, with the support of the data team, to monitor changes in EAC/AQ's
  • Work closely with the sales, settlement, data and onboarding teams to investigate and understand fluctuations that are seen
  • Provide accurate, and timely information to the forecast and risk analysts on potential erroneous movements, and best view alternatives
  • Propose and support in the implementation of improved workflow and processes to minimise changes in EAC/AQ's and ensure the best view is available at all times
  • Support relationship managers to gain information on customer consumption changes (e.g. shut downs) to develop more accurate forecasts for our largest consumers
  • Translation of detailed analysis on industry information into tangible recommendations, driving these forward to decision and implementation
  • Support the risk team on the day to day running of routine tasks and the resolution of operational queries where necessary
  • Ad hoc support on reporting for internal and external purposes

About Yü:


If you have what it takes you could be just what we're looking for

  • At least 3 years experience in the energy industry with detailed knowledge of industry flows
  • Strong computer proficiency, in particular Excel
- intermediary user of Salesforce and Junifer as well as experience of ECOES and XOServe Portal

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
  • Selfmotivated with an ability to work independently
  • A Level Maths (or equivalent)
  • Highly analytical with an acute attention to detail and confident delivering incremental change towards the end goal
