Global Supplier Business Development Head is a senior level role to drive Citi's Supply Chain Finance to new heights. It involves deep understanding of SCF, the incumbent should be able to provide strategic direction, leadership to SCF business.

The role will be responsible for the development of new initiatives, devise project plan and actively driving the commercialisation of the initiative.

The initiative would be related to supporting end to end supply of the Client and not restricted to PayablesFinance only.

**Further, Global Supplier Business Development Head would:
-**:


  • Define Strategy to expand Citi's financing to Suppliers using various innovative products (e.g. Purchase Order financing, preshipment financing, deeptier financing),
  • Define and execute a joint marketing plan in close coordination with various stakeholders including Product Managers, Sales, Risk, Compliance, Legal etc.
  • Outline and implement digital marketing, webinars, industry forums, through leadership articles for outreach to new potential clients with the Supply Chain ecosystem
  • Develop an efficient credit and underwriting framework with Corporate/Commercial Banking Risk to enable fast credit evaluation of prospects (SCF Suppliers) via Credit Passport initiative
  • Work with various stakeholders to obtain approvals for Credit Passport initiative and implement the key workstreams to enable revenue growth
  • Partner with Corporate/Commercial Banking onboarding, KYC and Account Opening teams to enable seamless execution of financing to Suppliers and efficient onboarding / KYC / account opening
  • Develop strategy to roll out Supplier Business strategy globally for target market and non target market Suppliers (via partnerships)

Responsibilities:


  • Utilize specialty knowledge to review, analyse, and develop beyond existing solutions
  • Ensure solid partnerships with Corporate/Commercial Banking and cross selling opportunities across range of products such as cash management, foreign exchange, working capital & capital markets, to deliver comprehensive services and solutions for clients
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Credit Risk, Business Risk, Sales, Coverage, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance
  • Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and to provide thought leadership for client centric solutions

Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Trade / Transaction Services
years of Credit Risk experience

  • Experience managing across multifunctions or global business
  • Experience managing in a large, complex and matrixed organization
  • Experience of driving large transformation initiatives across multiple regions
  • Experience of process mapping, process improvement and digital transformation
  • Experience of navigating Citi requirements
  • Knowledge of International Trade and competitor products/services
  • Knowledge of strategic direction of the business and functions across regions combined with solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
