Responsibilities:


  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
  • Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide oneonone or small group instruction to students who require additional assistance.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Skills:


  • Experience working with older students, particularly those with special needs or autism.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students.
  • Knowledge of care and development is a plus.

Job Type:
Temporary contract


Salary:
From £13.11 per hour
