Description

The Best Connection are seeking a Stock Controller/Goods in Operative for an exciting opportunity in Chorley, Lancashire.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager to assist with managing all the goods in, general functioning and management of the warehouse and support with the other departments if help is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive and book all incoming goods via parcel, pallet or containers
Manage all paperwork alongside the Account Managers
Put all the goods away with agreed timescales and make sure stock is located on the WMS
Great communications with all internal staff and external clients
Managing all deliveries and queries
Support and prepare a variety of records and logs to help prepare reports when required
Use of FLT Reach & Counterbalance would be a bonus
Observe and adhere to strict health and safety
Stand in for management for holidays/sickness cover and stepup to help with any other departments that require further assistance

Knowledge & Abilities that are required:

Warehouse and stock control methods and procedures
Methods of Receiving, inspecting and issuing materials
Materials, requirement and supplies used in the warehouse
Operation of a reach and counterbalance forklift
Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology
Space utilization and inventory techniques
Health and safety regulations
Record keeping techniques
Inventory methods and practices
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
Automated warehouse inventory system

Ability to:

Plan, organise, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the Warehouse
Utilize space efficiently and effectively
Maintain inventory
Operate warehouse veichles, machines and equipment safely and confidently
Lift, move and sort objects

Shifts:
