Description

To be proficient in radiographic techniques of general radiography for extremity, chest, spinal, abdominal and pelvic projections in following the department's training program.

Work effectively and safely within your defined area of practice under the instruction and supervision of a registered practitioner / radiographer and within relevant legal and ethical frameworks.

To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of your own area of practice. To comprehend and undertake all patient care procedures within your sphere of competence.

To function as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team. To demonstrate effective interpersonal and patient care skills. To demonstrate accountability for your own actions. To demonstrate an ability to gather relevant information and act appropriately.

Monitor and maintain Health & Safety & Security. Contribute to Service Development. Contribute to Service Development, Quality Improvements and take an active role in Safecare (Clinical Governance) activities. Support Lead Radiographer in improving quality of service whilst working towards the Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme.

Support peoples Equal Diversity and Rights.

Assist in monitoring and protecting groups and individuals whose health & well-being may be at risk with respect to radiation safety.

Plan, monitor and evaluate the movement of people and goods. Input and process patient data, when required.


Adaptation of skills and knowledge alongside technological advancements are essential to service developments and improvements, which enhance overall patient care.
