About us:

We are a thriving nursery based in the gorgeous town of Sherborne.
We have been providing exceptional childcare for almost a generation and we are lucky enough to have a state of the art venue to provide that care.
We have four dedicated nursery rooms for children to be based - from 0-2 years, 2-3 years and then two pre-school rooms.
They then have shared rooms including a low level play room, a dining room, an interactive lighthouse and our beautiful garden.
Our children are encouraged to feel part of our community and so we are always finding local events to take part in and places to visit, these include:visits to our local farm, the garden centre, train station, Sherborne Abbey, parks in the area, Pack Monday fair, the Christmas Tree Festival and also Harvest festival.
Whilst in nursery, we run Wakey Shakey, Yoga, gardening, cooking and just tons of messy play. We put emphasis on children learning and building independence through play and experiences. We are looking for a qualified Level 3 to join our 2 year old room, Dragonflies.-
About You:_
You will be driven by the desire to make the absolute best experiences for children whilst they are in our care.
The delight on children's faces will warm your heart and your smiles will be fuelled by the giggles and sparkles that fill the air.
You will be strong enough to take on dinosaurs and clean up mess, but will offer a warming hug to child who needs to feel ok again.
You will love getting messy and will not mind having to change your shoes for the fourth time in a morning so that you can go out in the puddles again.
You will be able to come up with a new display or activity idea that incite curiosity and joy in our children and help them to have the best day day-

Your working week:_
- Hours are between 8am and 5.30pm M-F with one early finish at 1:15pm
Desirable:_
- paediatric first aid
- safeguarding training
- food hygiene
- at least 1 years experience
- creative thinking

Required:_
- level 3 childcare qualification
- sound knowledge of EYFS
- to have a natural rapport with children
- experience of working with children
- sense of humour
- willingness to learn
- be able to work as part of a team
- great communication skills (partnership with parents and professionals is highly regarded here)
- Your own wellies
