Job Description:

Are you a Chartered Building Surveyor looking to work on property projects that can make significant and positive changes for Clients, managing projects that are always more challenging and innovative than the last?


If so, we are looking for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team in
Bristol, Birmingham or Cardiff offices to work on such projects for an interesting range of essential public sector Clients.

You will be joining a team of like-minded and similarly motivated professionals that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.


About Our Team

You would join the Building Surveying Team based in Bristol but, more importantly, be part of the UK wide Building Surveying Team.


The Building Surveying community within AECOM comprises the tried and trusted range of skills and experience from Trainee up through Graduate and newly Chartered to experienced Chartered Building Surveyors.

You will also work closely with and manage in-house multi-discipline project teams.

This provides many opportunities to develop personal careers within the organisation alongside professional development, all of which is encouraged by AECOM Leadership.


Responsibilities:

Report to and work alongside the Director managing the Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff based Building Surveying Team


Works would include:

  • Lead on individual Building Surveying, Project Management, and Contract Administration commissions, managing multidiscipline project teams.
  • Fully involved in or managing others to produce drawings, specifications and tender documents.
  • Survey and Report writing for the full range of typical core professional Building Surveying services.
  • Continuous improvement of our standards, processes and knowledge to deliver improved services to our core clients.
  • Key account client management.
  • Establish client briefs, appropriate fees, and cost control through to completion.


Previous management of sub-consultants and contractors essential, along with experience of or been involved in asset surveys on larger survey programmes, working with various technology packages to meet client requirements.


Qualifications:


  • Design knowledge and working with Listed buildings
  • NEC3 Supervisor experience desirable but not essential
  • Defence sector experience would be advantageous but not essential
