As Site Supervisor, reporting to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all statutory premises-related requirements are met and that our school and grounds are safe, welcoming, clean and well-maintained.

You must have good practical maintenance skills in order to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance and you will also undertake some cleaning duties, as well as managing a small cleaning team.

The Site Supervisor will also be a key holder and be responsible for site security.

Weekly working hours are:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (7am to 10.30am and 2pm to 6pm), and the position is a 52-week contract which includes paid annual holidays to be taken outside of term times.

The position is Grade 5 (£21,968 to £24,054).

Essential Qualifications

  • Full driving license
Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Caretaking, or equivalent
  • License to drive a minibus
  • First-Aid certificate
Essential Experience

  • Ability to manage a small team
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience of undertaking manual tasks (e.g. maintenance, DIY etc)
  • Ability to use powered tools and equipment relevant to the role (e.g. drill, floor buffer)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues and COSHH
Desirable Experience

  • Experience of securityrelated duties
