Heyland Recruitment are working with this market leading specialist manufacturing organisation as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their head office finance function based in their office in Widnes.

The position of Finance Assistant is predominantlyaccounts payable, is a key role within the finance team working efficiently and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy.

The position requires day-to-day accounting functions to be carried out and requires a team player who enjoys providing input and supportin improving process efficiencies and reporting capability.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to to day control of the accounts payable department
  • Processing and payment of ~600 invoices per month
  • Preparation and processing of month end journals accruals, prepayments etc
  • Credit card statement and expense claim processing
  • Involvement in year end audit process, reporting and provision of information
  • Provide cover for other team members as and when required
  • Any other ad hoc analysis, information requests to support the business
Person profile

  • Experience within a similar position
  • Advanced Excel skills vlookup / pivot tables
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, selfstarter, full of initiative and able to work autonomously
  • Team player
