2BM Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a permanent Shift Supervisor on behalf of our Engineering Manufacturing client based in Sheffield. Excellent opportunity to join a highly successful organisation that offers excellent staff benefits and career opportunities. You will be responsible for up to 20 shop floor operatives and report to the Shift Manager.


Job Details:


  • As a Production Supervisor, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills managing production teams within various production manufacturing operations including metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting and metal forming.
  • Your daily duties include leading team briefings, monitoring production schedules, identifying training and performance management, implementing lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Reporting efficiency figures for key processes and implementing improvement plans.
  • Leading Shop Floor morning meetings to plan days production and report production issue upwards.
  • Setting and monitoring team KPI's.
  • Identifying and implementing targeted process improvements to achieve efficiency improvements and maximise flow.
  • Identifying and highlighting production issues early to reduce down times.
  • Responsible for risk assessment reviews, H&S and 5S Audits and Safety talks.
Communication skills are essential to lead morning meetings and set KPI's.

As a Production Supervisor you will have the skills / ability to be accountable and hold others to account whilst working under mínimal supervision and the confidence to make decisions.


Your Pay & Benefits:

Production Shift Supervisor, Permanent job opportunity paying circa £35,000.00 to £40,000.00 per annum. Full time role working 44 hours per week working rotating day and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday, 6am
