Kennedys Finance team are seeking a File Management Assistant to join our Finance ARK team in Sheffield.

The successful File Management Assistant will contribute to the effectiveness of the team by providing a comprehensive and efficient support to internal and external clients in order that the business objectives of the firm and team are achieved.

Kennedys Finance team support the Firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients.


Our Finance team is made up of Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Credit Control, Legal Cashiers and Billers and Financial Operations Database teams.

Our UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London and have a presence in eight global offices.


Key responsibilities

  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information received via Zendesk according to priorities to prepare source data for entry onto Elite finance system and the KASE management system
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting and liaising with the requesting team as appropriate
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents received via the Zendesk system prior to data entry
  • Refer to team guidance and Knowledge Base Articles for information on client SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and updates as to client specific requirements when opening files.

Required experience

  • Previous experience in a professional services or partnership environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with strong organisational skills
  • Committed, enthusiastic and innovative
  • Be able to work on own initiative and take ownership of tasks with confidence
  • Flexible and resilient with good problem solving skills
  • Produce a consistently high quality and quantity of work
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Typing skills
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Willingness, reliability, with particular attention to detail and accuracy.
