**Interim Children's Commissioner

Location:
London, mostly remote

Length: 6-12 months

  • Role responsibilities of the Interim Children's Commissioner include:_
  • Redesigning the 019 service by looking at needs assessment and evidence, understanding what is currently in place and undertaking some service improvement of existing services
  • Consulting with families and thinking cohesively around the needs of service users
  • Looking at how the service can maximise voluntary sector engagement and reduce the impact of poverty in the borough
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, public health, education, social care, NHS, voluntary sectors and schools
  • The Interim Children's Commissioner will have:_
  • Previous experience of working within a local government or health organisation
  • Strong commissioning and service redesign experience
  • A selfstarter attitude with the ability to work to tight timescales
  • Superb oral and written communication skills and outstanding organisational skills
