Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant | £45,000 to £60,000 | North Manchester

Qualifications:
ACA (preferred) or ACCA Qualified

Experience:
Minimum 2 years post qualification | Total 6 Years+ in Practice


Purpose of the Role

  • Be part of the growing team who are responsible for review of year end accounts, management accounts and relevant tax returns.
  • To ensure effective and timely completion of tasks, while maintaining the highest quality of accuracy and standards.
  • You will be comfortable in client facing situations, meeting clients and discussing their accounts and businesses.
  • Ideally you will have a desire to process quickly into an Associate Director / Director position.

Duties of the Role

  • Hold meetings with clients, when required and when required by Directors
  • Participate in weekly update meetings for the accounts you are responsible for
  • Review and finalise accounts (unincorporated and incorporated
  • Review of Tax computations and Tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Review of MI including management accounts and cash flows
  • Helping to manage and train junior/admin staff

Skills and Qualities

  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly in verbal and written communication
  • Confidence to hold and lead client meetings
  • Ability to plan and manage your own time effectively
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence and accuracy
  • Strong all round knowledge in Tax and Accounts
  • Good knowledge of cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks and Sage)
