Fantastic opportunity for an administrative officer to join the newly formed Patient Safety Team within the Corporate Division of Clinical Governance.


Acting as the first point of contact for general telephone and written correspondence into the department, prioritising and responding in an appropriate, timely and courteous manner.

Supporting the Team to effectively plan and organise their day-to-day processes.

Undertaking administrative work in the accurate maintenance of the Trust Monitoring systems.

Requesting case notes and ensuring the provision of storage remains in line with information governance and data protection guidance.

Management of Patient Safety related meetings, action logs and minute taking.

Ensuring appropriate escalation to the manager.

Providing general advice to staff on processes.

To provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Patient Safety Team.

To be responsible for typing letters and reports as appropriate.

Responsible for maintenance of efficient and appropriate filing systems.

Responsible for obtaining and tracking medical records as required.

Organising meetings, preparing agendas and supporting information, taking minutes and updating relevant records.

Provide an efficient diary management service for the Patient Safety Management Team.

Answering the telephone and taking messages as necessary.

The role will necessitate the regular access to sensitive and confidential staff and patient information. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of professional integrity in maintaining strict confidential information.
