The Vacancy


As an Activities Team Leader at The Grove, you will work in a high performing environment and be responsible for inspiring the team as well as setting the direction for day-to-day activities and tasks.

You will help ensure all guests have unforgettable experiences delivered with genuine hospitality, leaving them feeling fulfilled, refreshed and rewarded.


Being proactive, self-driven, and a fantastic communicator, you'll be able to operate independently as well as with teams from different departments.

You'll also be able to draw out guests' interests and modify activities to fit their needs. You will deputise for the Resort Activities Manager when they are not in the business.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Take ownership of shift and service delivery ensuring all team are meeting set expectations.
  • Confidently deal with any guest concerns
  • Hosting activities
  • Working with the other departments to deliver a full and exciting activities program
  • Work with the team to help keep our activities centre clean & safe, strictly adhering to all standard operating procedures
  • Help facilitate the team with all the tools and resources, enabling them to proudly deliver our activity offering with genuine hospitality
  • Assisting in stock control management

About you

  • An excellent communicator with an ability to lead, motivate a team and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to quickly become familiar with bespoke databases
  • Flexible, punctual, organised and efficient
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Keen interest in culture and sport
  • High sense of responsibility, organization, and initiative;
  • Desirable qualifications: NPLQ, SPTO, TA, ArcheryGB Instructor or any other recognised sports and activity instructor awards
