Buyer. Industrial Engineering. Birmingham. £30,000 - £40,000

I'm currently recruiting for an incredibly exciting industrial manufacturing organisation working on cutting-edge technology and supplying to a global client base.

They are looking for an exceptional buyer to join their procurement team, to manage the sourcing and procurement of a range of goods and materials for manufacture.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in industrial manufacturing procurement, who is looking to quickly progress their career in a growing organisation.

Responsibilities of the Buyer

General Purchasing administrative and nonadministrative duties
Placing purchase orders securing the required lead times, driving quality adherence and pursuing best cost for direct materials and subcontract services in line with the business demand (MRP requirements)
Issuing requests for quotation (RFQ's/RFI's/RFP's) with focus on creating competitive tension between potential supplier providing the platform to make informed and sustainable sourcing decisions to support business requirements
Identify risks in the supply chain with focus to resolve using supplier development activities or resource activities to support business requirements.
Proactively address material shortages to strive for MRP adherence and report material availability issues in a timely manner to support operations and planning requirements.
Ensure On Time Delivery of all items in line with the manufacturing plan.
