Duties and responsibilities for the engineering manager:

  • Manage and prioritise work with the engineering supervisor
  • Carry out planned maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Perform daily safety checks
  • Perform fault finding and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
  • Ensure smooth running of the factory and machines
  • Work on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Once familiar with the equipment, provide training to new members of the department
  • Work with high pressure air, water and boiler systems
  • Maintain a spare parts list for site
Required experience and qualifications for the multi skilled engineer:

  • Hold a recognised qualification/apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Previous experience on PLC
  • 18th Edition
  • Previous engineering experience in an FMCG environment

There are 2 shift patterns available for the position; a Monday to Friday nights shift, or a 4 on 3 off shift covering weekends.
