Description

Are you an experienced Band 3 Dietetic Assistant who is looking for a new challenge? Or someone who has alternative relevant experience? We have an opportunity for an individual to work with our dietetic and medicines management teams as a dietetic assistant practitioner to identify and review patients who are prescribed oral nutrition supplements.

You will work within the medicines management department, general practice premises and remotely. You will be part of a department of almost fifty dietitians and dietetic assistants, supported by an administration team.

There are good working partnerships between the dietetic and medicine management teams in Wrexham and Flintshire, and also with other dietetic and pharmacy services across North Wales.

We support and encourage continuing professional development.


Your main responsibilities will be:


  • Identifying patients prescribed oral nutritional supplements using medicines management and GP records
  • Cross referencing patients with dietetic records
  • Carrying our patient reviews under the supervision of the dietitian
  • Participating in training of health care professionals
  • Ensuring all records are complete and up to date
There will be quite a lot of travel within Wrexham and Flintshire as part of this role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
