Lagganlia is one of two of the Council's well regarded residential establishments, based in a spectacular National Park location, the centre provides a welcoming work environment and friendly team atmosphere.

Lagganlia provides fully serviced educational courses with a maximum capacity of 120 persons. The core business is school visits, which are in high demand throughout the entire academic year.

You will be responsible for the activities of a large kitchen and its surrounds, routinely serving 110 pupils a day plus visiting and residential staff.

You will ensure the catering service is high quality, safe, organised and adequately resourced. Key tasks be menu planning, cost control, preparing and serving food, cleaning and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist with menu planning and development
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets customer expectations
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

- experience as a cook or similar role

Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects

Note:
Experience in catering is a plus, but not required.

£21,697.00-£21,979.00 per year
