Hours:35.5 per week, term time plus 10 days

At Pivot we believe children deserve better.

In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages - 4 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement.

Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.

Due to the growth of our offer, we are currently seeking a Deputy Head to support our Day 6 provision.

At Pivot 6, we offer specialist support for KS4 children who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school.

Our aim in Pivot 6 is to support students academically and socially to prepare them for transition back into mainstream school.

As the Deputy Head, you will support the Head of Commissioned Services, with responsibility for providing the leadership and management of Pivot 6.

This is a support post and the postholder will have a specific focus around the operational day to day aspects of running the site, ensuring staff are supported and learners are able to achieve to their full potential.

Our Pivot 6 site is based in Bradley, Huddersfield, however, a significant number of our learners are based in Bradford and therefore management of our offsite provision in this area will be required.
