Salary up to £35,572 per annum depending on skills and experience

37.5 Hours Per Week


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join the team in the cardiology department at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital.

This post is an ideal opportunity for a qualified Cardiac Physiologist who is looking to expand and enhance their experience, knowledge and skills across all areas of invasive and non-invasive cardiology.

You would become part of small, dedicated team committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care.

The workload is engaging and complex, and the successful candadate would be exposed to a range of procedures including angiography, complex angioplasty, PFO closures and cardiac surgery, as well as device implantation and follow-up, echocardiography, exercise stress testing and ambulatory monitoring / analysis.

The Role

Supporting the cardiology department as a Cardiac Physiologist you will;
Work without supervision after achieving in-house sign off across all areas of invasive and non-invasive cardiology.

Demonstrate a good underpinning knowledge of cardiac anatomy & physiology and cardiac investigations

Interpret results and provide factual reports for specialist diagnostic cardiac investigations

Enjoy delivering high quality standards of care to both private and NHS patients, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Be flexible in the way they work and undertake any task assigned to them that they have been trained to do

Be able to provide evidence of continuing professional development

Ensure accurate clinical records are maintained in accordance with professional, statutory and organisational guidelines

The Person

You must currently be registered with the RCCP, AHCS or HCPC as a Cardiac Physiologist / Clinical Scientist.

Accreditation with professional bodies such as BSE, IBHRE or BHRS would be desirable but not essential.
