Logistics Leader - Transport Risk & Compliance

Salary:
£43,373+ dependent on experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Lead the Traffic and Transport Risk cell and report to Risk owner and Risk sponsor
  • Manage wide ranging stakeholders list to set requirements, scope risk mitigation plans and deliver risk mitigation activities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Foster effective collaboration and crossfunctional working to achieve objectives.
  • Promote and embed a safety and quality culture by actively encouraging improvements in all activities

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Experienced in the use of IT systems for project and risk management
  • Experienced in managing a crossfunctional team
  • Experienced in the creation, development and management of project delivery

Desirable:


  • Recognized Project Management Qualification e.g., Prince 2 or equivalent (APM) is desirable
  • Degree level professional or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Strong understanding of the UK Transport legislation
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in road transport and Passenger Transport
  • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) Qualified

The Logistics & Inventory Management team:
The logistics and inventory management team look after the movement/storage and distribution of all material around the BAE site. The logistics leader will be responsible for fleet management and risk management within this role. The role will also include organizing, planning, implementing, and controlling the flow of goods & products efficiently throughout the site amongst many other responsibilities
