Our continually developing expertise allows us to provide full service capability on demand encompassing rental, sales, service and repair, calibration, personnel and asset management.

We are currently recruiting for a
Logistics Lead to join the team on a
full time, permanent basis.


Based in
Westhill you will support the Sales Engineers to manage the logistics of the rental and sales pools run in line with client requirements.

By liaising with external agencies and internal departments, you will ensure that the import and export needs of the Seatronics division are met and that Company procedures are followed.

You will be responsible for overseeing that all paperwork is kept to ISO 9001 and compliance standards.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide a focal point of the logistics team for other departments
  • Maintain a close relationship with the heads of other departments
  • Oversee the logistics workload and assigns tasks and priorities for the logistics team members
  • Oversee the development requirements of the logistics team members, liaising with line manager on training opportunities
  • Periodic review of processes, identifying areas for change and improvement
  • Keep updated on any import/export/customs changes; understanding how this might affect the Seatronics processes, and relaying this information to line manager and the compliance representative
  • Processing hire/sales orders on InspHire stock system.
  • Arranging collections for items to be dispatched in Aberdeen, including international freight.
  • For shipments with Controlled Goods ensure the export compliance procedure has been followed and liaise with Sales team should any additional details be required from the client prior to arranging shipping.
  • Track the air/sea shipments through to final delivery.
  • Ensure that all shipments are undertaken in line with customer expectations in terms of standard service, costs and time frames.
  • Attend all monthly/quarterly operations review meetings with assigned customers.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the stock system is updated
  • Participate in Key User Group discussions to advance process improvements where possible.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of three years' experience of Logistics in an office environment is preferable
  • Experience in freight/shipping/importexport documentation
  • Sound knowledge of import and export regulations
  • Experience of effectively organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience of working effectively without close supervision
  • Experience of mentoring other employees
  • Geographical knowledge of Global locations
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail with good customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills with experience in documenting requirements
