Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Worker to join our team.

As a Nursery Worker, you will play a vital role in the care and maintenance of plants in our nursery.


Duties:


  • Planting, watering, and fertilizing various types of plants
  • Pruning and trimming plants to ensure healthy growth
  • Monitoring plant health and identifying signs of disease or pests
  • Transplanting seedlings and mature plants as needed
  • Operating and maintaining nursery equipment such as watering systems and hand tools
  • Keeping the nursery area clean and organized

Skills:


  • Knowledge of plant care techniques and horticultural practices
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy pots or bags of soil
  • Attention to detail to spot plant issues early on
  • Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Pay:
£15.64 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
  • Nursery experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
