Principal Transport Planner - EV Infrastructure

Environment & Climate Team

Preston, Lancashire (hybrid/home working)


We are recruiting for a full time Principal Transport Planner to manage delivery of our electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure programme over the next three years.


We are seeking an innovative and passionate individual who wants to make a positive impact on our environment and can realise the vision and objectives set out in our EV Infrastructure Strategy.

This is a brand-new position, presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated individual to use their transferable project management skills to plan and deliver an ambitious EV infrastructure programme for Lancashire


You will join the Environment and Climate Team supporting delivery of Lancashire County Council's Environment and Climate Programme, which includes tackling air quality, active travel and the delivery of our ambitious climate goals.

The team is based in the Environment and Planning Service, a multi-disciplinary service which provides environmental planning services, civil engineering, and transport planning, responsible for the delivery of an ambitious programme of works within Highways and Transport.

The post is based at County Hall in Preston.

However, Lancashire County Council operates a flexible working policy, and our team is working in a hybrid approach with the opportunity to work from home and in the office.
