We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate professional to join our Leasehold and Service Charges Team.

You will be responsible for providing a proactive, comprehensive, and effective service to internal and external stakeholders in respect of rents and service charges.

You will have the proven ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and respond promptly to requests. Good communication at all levels with both financial and non-financial people. The ability to build strong working relationships with managers, budget holders and colleagues.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Flexible, motivated and able to work unsupervised and in an agile way
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to the changing work environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continued improvement
  • Advanced Excel and IT skills
  • Involvement or knowledge of rent setting and processes of rent accounting
  • Involvement or knowledge of service charge estimate setting, reconciliation of actual costs and preparation of annual service charge statements.
  • AAT Part Qualified or equivalent
It would also be desirable to have the following:

  • Experience of presenting financial information
  • Ability to deliver effective training
  • Experience of social housing sector or for a housing organisation
  • General knowledge and awareness of housing legislation and practice
  • General understanding of leaseholders' rights and responsibilities
