DCS Recruitment are looking for an experienced Project manager looking for a
permanent position with a North West based contractor.
We are looking for someone based out of either Greater Manchester or Midlands, as projects you will oversee predomiantly will be around these geographic locations, but you must also be open to nationwide coverage, if required.
The Company:
They are a fast growing, multi-disciplinary construction/engineering company based to the North West, undertaking projects in both public and private sector businesses across the country.
Their vast range of experience comprises of design and build, new build, refurbishment, fit-out, Civils and Rail.
The Role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager to join our client to oversee construction projects that will work across both construction and small civils works.
For the this role the client offer:

Location:
Based at head office in Stockport and site based weekly/fortnightly.
Work schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Your Responsibilities include:
- Work to and promote the companies 'Right Time First, On Time, Every time' culture
- Manage projects between approximately £50k to £6m, 34 projects at a time.
- Attend client and contractor meetings.
- Produce and monitor tracking tools to deliver the change control services
- Work closely with commercial team to capture VO and invoicing
- Provide support to different members of the team
- Ensure all site adhere to the highest H&S standards
- Quality Control
- Monitor and update programmes
- Progress reporting to directors
Your attributes:
- Extensive Project Management experience of delivering projects in infrastructure/Civils, Refurb and new build sectors with values of up to £6M
- Excellent construction knowledge
- Ability to interact at a senior management team level through presentations, one to one meetings and by written reports.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
- Ability to work to a consistent high standard with mínimal supervision
- Desire to learn and develop
- Methodical and proactive approach to tasks.
Qualifications/Experience required:
- NVQ/HNC/BSc (Hons) Degree in construction/surveying/project management/quantity surveying or at least 5 years Construction Management Experience
- Experience of managing many types of projects and have a proven track record demonstrating the ability to deliver projects successfully.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word, Excel and Project.
- Full, preferably clean, UK driving licence
- CSCS & SMSTS
- Rail experience is a Bonus not essential.
