Housing Officer Vacancy


An established Housing Association is looking to recruit a
Housing Officer to join their busy team on a temporary contract for around two months with a possible extension.


Location:
Watford


Duration:
Temporary


Hours: 37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Remote working available but must be able to travel across the patch


Pay:
£20.37-£23 umbrella


Main responsibilities of the role:


  • Provide effective management of the organisations housing and customers/tenants
  • Undertake tenancy and estate management assisting in rent arrears recovery and ensure tenant participation
  • Oversee a high level of safeguarding at all times
  • Dealing with cases of Anti-Social Behaviour
  • To ensure all vacant homes are relet efficiently and in line with the organisation's policies around Choice Based Lettings and performance targets
  • Carry out joint inspections of properties prior to termination, transfer, and mutual exchange
  • Carry out regular estate inspections, and ensure that contractors are complying with their obligations in respect of grounds maintenance, tree works and cleaning contracts

Essential Requirements:


  • Must have a valid driver's licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience with social housing including management of void properties
  • Possess knowledge of housing law and regulation
  • An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain
