Accounts Assistant (Hybrid) - Castleford - £22k - £25k + excellent benefits

Our client is a well-established company based in Castleford, due to continued growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.

You will have a good knowledge of basic accounting demonstrable by on-the-job experience or graduate calibre who is part or fully AAT qualified.

You must have the ability to analyse data with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and be systemsorientated with excellent IT skills.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Daily cashbook and banking duties on MS Excel and Sage 200
Processing cash receipts and allocations to the Sales Ledger
Processing payments from the bank
Daily bank reconciliations
Reviewing, challenging and processing purchase order requests for the divisional Operations Teams
Supporting the Ledger Controller with purchase ledger maintenance
Credit Card processing
Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accurate and easy retrieval of information
Regular processing of relevant intercompany recharges, including reconciliations
Monthly review and assessment of overhead accruals and prepayments
Reconciliation and calculation of rebates
Balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing and developing accounting processes and controls
Provide adhoc financial information to both the group and divisional management teams including variance analysis
Assist with the preparation and supply of information for audits and tax returns
Monitor and assist finance manager with control of data
Support on completion of VAT and ONS returns
Production and issuance of assigned weekly reporting
