This vacancy is for a personal assistant to join our client's support package to support them in their own home.

We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client and you will not be asked to support other clients.

All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period.

The role requires you to live-in at our clients' home for the full week to provide support as detailed below.


The rate of pay for the full week is £ Day hours: 8am to 11pm Night hours: 11pm to 8am.

Night hours are paid at £11.44 per hour. You will be required to work one full week in every three.


About the Client and Support Needed:
I am a friendly, easy-going and open-minded person. I have various interests such as psychology/history/true crime/alternative news. Having
ADHD, I really enjoy learning new things and spending time watching films, series and documentaries.


To live independently on a daily basis, I would need support with personal care such as bowel care, washing and dressing, moving and handling, medication administering, light housework, cooking and feeding.

I also have a dog who will need a short walk a couple of times a day.


You must be comfortable with dogs and working in a smoking environment (this will be risk assessed and discussed at interviews).

You must be able to work 1 week in 3 on a rolling rota.

ADHD
You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.


Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:

  • An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
  • Care experience is essential for this role with a good knowledge of spinal injury
  • This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit
    female support workers only
  • You must be a driver with a full, UK driving licence and be aged over 25yrs old for insurance purposes
  • You must be happy to work in a smoking environment
  • You must be comfortable working with dogs
  • You must have excellent communication skills
  • Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'personcentred' way
  • Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
